I have currently been researching a lot of portrait photographers. I want to try my hand at portrait photography by the end of it so i'm digging for inspiration.
Nan Goldin's images are interesting- she documented the post-punk music scene in the 70s, as well as the post-Stonewall gay culture. I've looked through a lot of her work and picked my favourite photographs. They all show people behaving extremely naturally in situations that some people would not find natural at all. Sometimes viewed as uncomfortable, yet beautiful. Nan Goldin is one of my favourite portrait photographers to date, and I am always looking for more.
